introducing: Nicki Gwynn-Jones
Nicki Gwynn-Jones lives in Orkney, off the coast of Scotland. Here she shares with us liberating images of her local birds. Her love of nature and of these beautiful creatures is apparent in her delicate rendering of her subjects.
Len says: “I have been hoping to publish a series of birds that sit outside the box of the usual birders for quite a long while. I was so delighted to find Nicki’s creative and totally astonishing bird photographs, and even more excited when she accepted my request to publish them. I find her walk enthralling. So much so that I am considering upgrading my long lens, and am imagining myself sitting as an old man waiting for the birds to come. I know that this is probably a fallacy, as I can only imagine the extraordinary lengths Nicki must go to to come up with such a mesmerising portfolio. No easy task. Her dedication and love for these beautiful animals shines in these portraits.”
