introducing: Michela Griffith
Michela Griffith is from UK and works with photographic prints and mixed media. Fascinated by the water around her, Michela creates captivating artworks. We are thrilled to be featuring a series of her work in our next issue of Len’s Journal, volume 4 issue 1.
Len says: “I was introduced to Michela’s work through the On Landscape photography magazine run by Charlotte and Tim Parkin in the UK. She has written a plethora of articles and interviewed so many photographic artists. It is worth reading her interviews as they are so insightful. She has interviewed quite a few of our featured artists, such as: Sandra Bartocha, Hillary Younger, Nicki Gwynn-Jones, Rachael Talibart, and Doug Chinnery. I am so delighted to be including her in this issue. One thing that I particularly love about her work is her obsession with artists books. I urge you to take some time and wander through the handmade books on her website for some inspiration. Her work is truly beautiful, isn’t it? When I discovered this series, I was instantly mesmerised. A touch of Pollock and abstract expressionism blew through my mind no doubt. I couldn’t let them go, they stayed with me for so long after viewing them. I am so pleased she has let us publish them. I can only hope that some of you are as enchanted by them as much as I am. As I reread this, I am reminded of how beautiful the connected community of creative photographers is.”
