Anissa Lawrence is based here in Australia and is sharing a gorgeous set of images. She invites us to spend some time with her embracing nature, just as she did in her local area during our various lockdowns.

Len says: “Anissa nearly fell over when I asked her for a series for Len’s Journal. Worried about her deservedness and quality of her own work. We all worry. We all have moments of doubt. I definitely do. I look back at portfolios of my own work and wonder what I was thinking including that particular photograph. We shouldn’t worry. Anissa’s work is absolutely stunning. It is not only deserving of its inclusion it is deserving of further publication. Her portfolio in this edition is titled ‘ From little things’, words taken from Kev Carmody and Paul Kelly’s song. She hopes that by sharing her love for nature, that she can influence others to help save it in our current climate crisis. She believes this so much she has devoted her life to fighting for our oceans. It is our plan to publish some books together and we are already working on our first on Flannel Flowers.

Anissa, your work is absolutely stunning. It is such a pleasure to include you in our upcoming issue. I hope our subscribers enjoy them as much as I do.”
