Travelling with camera
I am just back from a ten days in the Blue Mountains. The weather was magnificent for photography. With that big high that stopped the winter weather stalled near Tasmania, I arrived in Katoomba to thick mist. It was there on and off for the most of the time that I was there.
I still haven’t downloaded the images, and I have so much on my to do list today. I also have to finish staining and varnishing my desk that I built. I have also been working on some website tweaks. I just finished an interview for an upcoming On Landscape issue. So many exciting things.
On the news front, we have added an option to pay for the Master Class through direct deposit. It saves a lot of money in bank, website and transaction fees. So we have passed on the savings to you. So if you wish to book with a direct deposit, the fee will only be $AUD 4800. We have a few more people booking in, from overseas now, including the USA and the UK. So exciting, I can’t wait to start at the end of August. https://www.lensschool.com/lens-master-class-2
I have almost finished the ‘Learning to See’ program. It is sixty daily lessons and drawing exercises that teach you how to observe better. We using drawing as the medium for learning to see. You don’t need to do this course to become a drawer, but you could. Instead, think of it as professional development for your photography. I’d also recommend doing the ‘Mark Making’ course before hand to warm you up to using a pencil. I have the final two lessons to add, and by the time you finish they will be ready for you. This is a one exercise a day thing. Rather than sit down and pour your way through it. This course is up and ready for you to start. https://www.lensschool.com/drawing-classes
I also have reduced my week long tours, workshops. They were sitting at AUD$ 5500 and I have bought them all in to $4950. The cost of living seems to be taking its toll on so many of us these days. I hope this helps you decide to invest in a week away with me. This only applies to five day trips. I have reintroduced a system where you can choose where you would like to go with me. And have listed all of the locations I am happy to take you. We started doing these during COVID and were so successful. This makes it easy, as you pick the dates and the location. https://www.lensschool.com/workshops-tours/p/lens-photographic-escapes
On Monday I head south, and will be on leave for three weeks photographing and skiing the Australian Alps. Clair will be around to answer and help with any bookings or enquires. Hopefully I will be wizzing around on my skis. I will post some updates as I shoot along.
