Takashi Fukukawa shoots around Tokyo, where he lives. He uses a panorama camera, the Hasselblad Xpan and recreates the scene in front of him using multiple shots presented together. This gives a unique perspective by placing different moments in the same image. The images are compelling to look at, drawing you deeper into the scene the more you look at it.

Len says: “Akashi takes us on a journey through time with his montages. Each created from a single roll of film and contact printed onto photographic paper. In this one, we can see the woman in each exposure, asking us to question the passage of time. The skill and dedication to create such wonderful artworks is truly masterful. These I want to peer into, and explore more, don’t you? ”.
