introducing: Hillary Younger
Hillary is a landscape photographer based in southeast Tasmania. She has had numerous exhibitions, both solo, and collaborative and has been published in several magazines, including Australian Geographic, Australian Photography Magazine and On Landscape, so we are delighted that her work will be appearing in our second issue of Len’s Journal.
Len says: “Hillary is incredibly passionate about social causes and the threatened environment. Her warm heart and sensitivity shines in her landscape photographs. You can just feel Hillary in every photograph. She leads me into her wilderness landscape gently with captivating foregrounds, and shows us how beautiful the full frame aspect ratio of 2:3 can be in the portrait orientation. Indeed a rare and incredible feat in this rather difficult shape. We chose her photographs that include the night sky to remind us to be hopeful in these difficult times. I find them so uplifting, taking me from this place to another realm.”
