Glossy Back Cockatoos

Out walking with Pt and Gail on the edge of Katoomba and we spotted a Glossy Back Cockatoo with a most gorgeous orange tail. It’s so lovely to see a endangered species. They apparently only eat a particular acacia tree. So you usually will see them near stands of these trees.

The mist was gorgeous and thick this morning, yet we walked and talked. Not many photographs. Some might even say a wasted opportunity. But catching up with friends is so important. I photographed Katoomba buildings as I walked through earlier.

Am going back out soon, the mist has lifted but the light rain is still gorgeous out.
