Isn’t it funny how things come and go so quickly in our lives. I was really struggling with producing work last week, and suddenly on one morning I was in the mangroves and it all came together. I wonder if it was being surrounded by beautiful trees again, and focusing on them as my subject. Was it the relief after dealing with things that were on my mind. Was it the settled feeling I get when the group has settled, and I can stop being so attentive to them.

I think it all aligned, as an astrologer would say.

All of those things helped me get into my happy creative space and the work just flowed out of me. Within an hour I had a sold series of these ‘Ink’ creations. They are double exposures, with a slow shutter speed. I am not sure they are what I set out to achieve, when a few weeks ago I told you that I wanted to work on my Ink Series.

These are what came out.

I tried to make some more on latter days. Nup… It seems it was just right at just that time, on just that morning. Luckily there are enough for a solid series to share with you and to publish.

Things come and go so quickly these days. Ideas, dreams, thoughts, people… Wondering why? Is our life that much more fast paced? Does our digital communication amplify things? How is it that so much is lost in the written word?

And in a flash the thought was gone… well not really… Us sensitive types think about it for way too long afterwards… don’t we?
