“Photography is a strong tool, a propaganda device, and a weapon for the defense of the environment...and therefore for the fostering of a healthy human race and even very likely for its survival.”

– Eliot Porter

The fight for the Tarkine is far from over despite what some might suggest.  There is a demonstration next weekend in Tasmania where they will present the petition to the Premier.   Please take a moment to sign it

Sitting at this spot watching the logging trucks roll in and out with old growth trees is heart wrenching. We must stop old growth logging and turn to sustainable logging in properly managed plantations.  Why are we doing this? Sigh.  Someone has to balance a budget.  Someone’s pocket has to be lined. Modern politics.
