Compelling Coast

Len is featured in the latest edition of Arts Zine March 2023, which is an art and literary online magazine.

He appears along with fellow artists Roger Skinner and Malcolm Edward-Cole. These three photographers came together during Len’s workshop in Narooma on the South Coast of NSW, Australia last year. In this collection of work “they all focus in reinterpreting the landscape/seascape in a much more abstract way and whilst that would appear to render them possible to be anywhere in the country or even overseas, nothing is more compelling than the obvious south coast ancient well-worn feel, that denies ambiguity. Three artists who produced widely differing views, whilst at the same time similar works, linked by a basis of an individual view of abstraction in a landscape”.

Arts Zine itself was established in 2013 by artists Eric and Robyn Workhoven. The zine is free and in 2017 it was selected by the NSW State Library to be preserved as a digital publication of lasting cultural value for long-term access by the Australian community. How fantastic is that! If you navigate to page 198, you will find previous issues listed that you can click on to look through.
