Ink

Playing with my brush and ink series this morning on the banks of Port Stephens. It has taken me all week to get going. Holding a positive learning space for a large group is tiring, as are the long days. Emotional disturbances added into the mix.

Interestingly, it was my interaction with some trees that grounded me and my art. Trees… who would have guessed.

Smiles…

I have decided the series is really, ‘Ink’, though I am not sure I am into the tattoo references. I am thinking more Indian Ink, and a Japanese brush loaded with it. I have already printed a series from this morning on the Canon Selphy, and am inspired to print them on soft cotton rag paper when I get home. Perhaps even some washi, to add a softer cream toned paper base. I would love to get a decent ream of mulberry paper.

Dr Pt, sings a song and in the lyrics are… “rinse…. repeat…”

Suddenly, this morning, after referencing it yesterday, I suddenly understood.

My, almost, daily shower signals yet another day on repeat… life is beautiful isn’t it.
