Flesh and Stone

I have been really enjoying going through past work these last few days. Three weeks between workshops means I can catch up on so much. My priority is getting next years program out. A few events have gone up at http://lensschool.com. Such as the 2021 Master Class and the 2020 Focused Lens Programs. Kangaroo Island is also live, as is The Tarkine, and two Abstract Workshops for 2020. There are still more to add, Esperence and Dunsburough. Monochrome and The Blue Mountains. Hopefully working through those today.

Once I get them finished I can start explaining what’s coming up to you.

I have introduced a new booking system, where I ask you to pay a booking fee to start the process, pay the deposit when I book the venues and pay the outstanding amount eight weeks prior to commencement of the event. This takes a bit more work, but alleviates some stress for me.

It’s because I need photographs to illustrate these trips, I am forced to go through the back catalogue and see what’s there.

It’s such a joy finding beautiful work to share. I will print some, when I get a chance.

I love that distance between taking and rediscovering. Yes, I have written about it so many times. The more I have forgotten, the easier my reaction to quality and to the actual photograph is. No false memories or the emotions from taking the photograph. A few defy time, but most don’t. The ones that do are either brilliant in my mind or of such strong emotional moments that I need outside confirmation that they are indeed special photographs.

I thought I’d revisit the Nude Photography Workshop I ran a few years ago in the Blue Mountains and found this lovely shot of Indie Berlin.
