Isolating
I unfortunately tested positive for Covid last week, just days and a few kms from the start of my Art Therapy course in Melbourne. It had taken me five or six years to get there. The disappointment was overwhelming. The teachers have offered a one on one catch up before our second weekend in June. Isn’t that just so lovely of them. So my disappointment turns into excitement once again.
Wednesday to Friday were the worst days of Covid. Luckily my Master Class was incredibly understanding and I was able to rest. I had a short presentation to the Australian Photographic Society on Friday evening. Despite it being on an easy topic to talk about and only forty minutes it was exhausting and I found answering the questions rather hard.
Most of my symptoms have lifted now and I am left with a terrible cough. Am trying to rest and stay in bed as much as possible and resting up. I can’t believe how much I have slept. When people talk about brain fog from Covid, I now understand a little about what they are talking about. Though I still think I have been so lucky to get through it, thankful to my three vaccination shots too.
Isolating whilst living in your 4wd is interesting to say the least. But I am incredibly thankful for the beauty and quiet around me provided by the Australian bush and the gentle ocean in the background. It is nice having an excuse to spend time alone.
In about ten weeks we are off to the Tarkine again. A lovely group and a trip I can’t wait to go on again. This is taken from the Pieman River. I have a few spots if anyone is interested in joining us. https://www.lensschool.com/workshops-tours/tarkine-photography-tour-2022
