Autumn Colour
Its a bleak day out here in Sydney today. The rain has been coming down for days. Isn’t is so wonderful. It is a great excuse to stay inside and do some writing.
Actually, it is a great excuse to put on some wet weather clothes and go out into it to take some beautiful photographs. If you do, be careful of flooding and trees coming down. But I am sure it will be rewarding.
As is often the case on days like this I have a pile of work to do. I have to finish the next article for Better Photography Magazine. It has gone to subscription only now, and so you will no longer find it in a newsagents. I also have to finish writing tonight’s presentation on the importance of backgrounds in your photography for the composition course. Am well past a third of the way through now. It is going so well. Then I also have to be prepared for tonight’s presentation to Easts Camera Club which starts at 7.30 pm. Hmm a bit of a day ahead.
The little exhibition at Broadway comes down on Friday I think. I will need to check in with the art cube space to see. The scarves I have for sale there are so beautiful to wear on a cold day like today.
Last week we were in Myall Lakes on one of our ISO Escapes. We ended up spending a lot of time talking about simplification and minimalism in our photography, which became the theme for the week. Was so lovely to see everyone again, and to get out and about with our cameras. The weather was lovely for us, and we managed to witness quiet a few lovely sunsets over the lakes.
So I am back at the desk now and will slowly get back through everything and on top of things again. So if you have unanswered emails sent to me, know I will tick them off this week as soon as I can.
