A few weeks ago we were blessed by Gaia with the most wonderfully beautiful misty morning. We wandered the lake at Jindabyne looking for photographs. We stumbled into a gorgeous stand of white ones. This old fella has stood for a while. You can see how weathered she is. Might have been lightening that ripped down one side. Or perhaps strong winds.
Yesterday she was covered in snow. What a place to live. She would have watched the river change into a dam and a town being moved. Regular snow, yet years of droughts too.
Oh the stories she can tell, to those that are willing to listen.
Thank you Jane for a wonderful ISO Escape. Am looking forward to the next one at Myall Lakes next week.
Going backcountry for a few days, so Len’s journal will be quiet. The Schlink Hilton perhaps.
