Pastels

I was rummaging through my work looking for some double exposures. The members of Len’s Club asked for a presentation on how to create them.

This one popped up. It is taken at Port Stephens. Barry Park at Fingal Bay to be even more precise. During our Abstract Photography Workshop.

One exposure is of the ocean and the other of the huge rock I was standing next too. A long exposure allowed me some camera movement.

It’s one of those, omg why didn’t I do more? Interestingly it was part of a huge practice session I did that evening trying to get my head around how multiple exposures worked in my camera. The next morning I did the most amazing set, that I have shared with you already.

It reminds me the importance of practicing and experimenting. Figuring stuff out.

Anyway I do love this photograph. It reminds we of pastels. I did do a lot of chalk drawing at art school, usually a black, a sepia and some white on toned paper. I do love monochrome don’t I?

I hope you’re enjoying Sunday.
