A place to ponder

Wandering and pondering. I just love Tolkien’s words… not all who wander are lost…. Not all who daydream are either…

Why do we love chairs and seats in special locations?

Is it that we love to sit and look, and while looking our mind gets to explore… Personally I can think of nothing better… Time to switch off. Relax. Daydream…

I have come across a few people over the years sitting at a beautiful view with their own chair and an drink. A thermos of tea, a beer or glass of wine even. Some have some food. Others binoculars.

When I go Bush by myself I find somewhere to sit and enjoy my cuppa tea. My thermos is my most treasured accessory. I like to have walked a bit first. To get away from life and the road. The car and the past. All helping me to get to the present. To be mindful.

It becomes a ritual. And eventually becomes a trigger for the relaxed creative state for making art in.

All from just sitting and relaxing somewhere beautiful and quiet. And looking. Letting the mind wander and relax.

How beautiful is life.
