A sense of place

That photography competition run by Sharon Hickey at our sister photography school The Aperture Club is closing soon. I think this was my entry last year that was shortlisted.

You may know that I am not much of a fan of competitions. I have been in a few over the years. Ones like this one that are more fun than overly serious are worth supporting in my opinion.

Sharon has been a dear friend for the past thirty five years. It’s rather funny we both end up running photography education businesses. We met at Chakola in the Kangaroo Valley one weekend I think. We contracted her and Michelle to photograph my Adventure Education Pty Ltd outdoor education programs for our brochure. We had it printed but my business partner never sent it to anyone or tried to sell more programs.

Sharon keeps returning in my life. The measure of a dear friend. So I am reaching out to you to help her with her competition. Why not enter for fun. Just a thought.
