“One should really use the camera as though tomorrow you’d be stricken blind. To live a visual life is an enormous undertaking, practically unattainable. I have only touched it, just touched it.” – Dorothea Lange

We started another Monochrome Workshop yesterday in Katoomba with five delightful ladies. I have often thought of doing women’s workshops, this group is by pure chance. This morning it was bellow zero with a very light frost. Cold enough for my water bladder tube to freeze as it sat and watched me photograph some gorgeous ghost gums.

We were down at Mini Ha Ha, very close to where I once lived. A frost hollow, yet incredibly sheltered. It was often warmer there than the Katoomba shops because it’s so protected from the wind.

This photograph is from years ago in the same area.
