“I feel technique is not too important. It’s more important to use your eyes, mind and heart. Techinique is something everyone can do. If you want to take your photography to a higher level, you must tell something. Move something. You must feel it when you make the photograph and that will take you to a higher level. Photography needs to be haunting and worth remembering.“

- Fan Ho

I had a Fan Ho moment last night.  Revisiting some of his works.  If you don’t know who I am talking about take a moment to look him up.  His monochrome work is amazing. I managed to pick up two of his books recently, but the third, the one I really want illudes me. This quote is from this interview.

It’s an interesting quick read.

We hit the road today.  Still haven’t decided to head north or south.  My geography let me down yesterday when I discovered that Lake Ayre is on a different road and that it’s way out of the way if we were to go south.  Sigh.

Well, now I have a new trip to do.  Lake Ayre and the painted desert and drive through the almost middle on a different road.   Another day and something to look forward too.

There is a strong chance we will head north. It’s a bit quicker though last time I drove it the road kill was the worst I have ever seen in my whole life.  Not a pleasant memory.

Being on the road will be lovely.
