Tree love

I still can’t believe we are cutting trees down to clear land, pushing them into piles and burning them.  We have known for many years that deforestation has huge effects on our environment.   We are feeling the climate change nearly daily these days.  Yet we still can’t correlate the two. 

Drought rages through this vast beautiful country, and we are still clearing.  We are still letting massive corporations control our rivers.  The dribbling sludge that almost flows is apparently still a river. 

Yes, we should have started planting twenty years ago at the first murmurs of climate change.  As soon as Dr Suzuki bought it to the global stage.  Yet twenty years later we still haven’t started.  

Why? 

Why can’t we start. 

Politics baffles me still.
