Photography brings people into my life. Special magical people. Ones whom settle me, ones that inspire me. Some have great lessons to give. Many want to learn.
It always surprises me to be reminded of its power to connect. How strong the emotions that a photograph can trigger.
Photographs like this one bring tears to at least two peoples lives. Megan and I both get teary when the photographs we created together remind us of our deep love and connection. Now we are separated and worlds apart. Her life in Scotland feels so distant. Yet our words and feelings get stronger with the physical distance. I didn’t know I would miss her so much until she moved.
It’s so beautiful that love grows with this distance. I am so grateful that we have these memories and beautiful artworks to remember the moments we had together.
At the time neither of us understood to importance of our conversations. Let alone the huge effect they had on our lives.
They are very special memories. We both owe so much of what our lives are today to them.
I will be forever thankful for the day that this beautiful woman asked me to photograph her. It changed my life.
Megan, you are loved. Deeply missed. I am looking forward to a UK tour, with special time in Scotland to be with you again.
