The Artists Club

The Artists Club

Len has been a little quiet lately, and if you are thinking that means he must be up to something… well, you’d be right!

You may have heard of Len’s Club, you may have been in it! It started in 2020, just as the pandemic took hold, a coincidence that benefited both Len and everyone who joined. It was many years in the making for Len and became an amazing hub of creativity, filled with photographers looking to expand their practice, to become more creative and to connect with like-minded souls.

Four years on and Len’s Club has evolved into The Artists Club. The change in name is more representative of Len’s dream, he himself is an artist, not only a photographer. The Artists Club embraces all mediums and provides the platform for a creative space that brings people together to learn, develop and evolve.

On this journey we found many of our photographers were experimenting and pushing the boundaries of their photography. Cyanotypes, ecoprinting, bookmaking, drawing, printmaking and other alternative processes that were derived from, or incorporated their photographs were emerging. This sort of hybrid experimentation didn’t really fit in to traditional camera clubs or even Len’s Club at that time. Hence, The Artists Club, where there is scope to engage with and discuss a range of mediums. A safe space to experiment and seek feedback. It is a supportive and positive community, we love photography, we love all forms of art and creativity!

The Artists Club is an online community that is currently open to new members for a yearly subscription of $39.99, or a lifetime membership for a one off payment of $400.

As a member you can post your images and seek feedback from the community, plus take part in a range of exercises and challenges designed to spark your creativity. Earlier this year, we spent the month of February creating an artwork every day, the support and enthusiasm from the members was phenomenal and was the reason so many of us actually completed it and posted something new every day that month.
