Len has been setting the members of Len’s Club a weekly photographic exercise for over a year now. Back in September last year the exercise was to create an image using only two colours. Using only two colours in an artwork is a fantastic way to minimise distractions and help create harmonious compositions. They help us keep focus on composition and colour balance.

I would like to share this wonderful image created by Trevor Holman in response to this exercise. On posting this image Trevor noted, ‘I'm thinking multi coloured subjects are easier to find than two colours only’. It is harder than you might think! Despite this, Trevor posted a beautiful, calm yet striking, image using just two colours that he found in nature.
