Snow, snow, snow
Do you know the Pete Seeger song Snow, snow, snow?
Snow, snow, falling down;
Covering up my dirty old town.
Covers the garbage dump, covers the holes,
Covers the rich homes, and the poor souls,
Covers the station, covers the tracks,
Covers the footsteps of those who'll not be back.
Under the street lamp, there stands a girl,
Looks like she's not got a friend in this world.
Look at the big flakes come drifting down,
Twisting and turning, round and round.
Covers the mailbox, the farm and the plow.
Even barbed wire seems - beautiful now.
Covers the station, covers the tracks.
Covers the footsteps of those who'll not be back.

It’s a favourite song this week and the lyrics roll over and over in my head. How beautiful the world is when so much of humanity’s mess is covered with snow. It’s so incredibly peaceful and quiet. Another whole world.
I have been having such a lovely time. A week with Cyan, a week with Pt, and now a week by myself. Magical. It feels like a real holiday. I can’t remember feeling this good and relaxed drove such a long time. My mind thinks of turns and of loves.
It’s a month now till the Master Class kicks off. Am so excited about that. The class grows and grows and is going to be a lovely group. I will start on the preliminary preambles and preparation videos next week so that everyone can start to prepare for the first term. There are still spots in it if you are interested in devoting the next 11 months to taking your photography to that next level by diving deep into studying with me. https://www.lensschool.com/lens-master-class-2
The abstract workshop continues to grow and fill up too. Only a few spots left now. We also have the stay and play afterwards for those keen to practice their new found skills with me. Did you know that the abstract workshop has been going for well over ten years now. Shirley and I are always changing it. Many students return and we always manage to run different presentations and each has a unique flavour. So exciting to be teaching with Shirley Steel yet again. https://www.lensschool.com/workshops-tours/p/the-abstract-workshop-2024
