exhibition: Fragile Beauty, Rich and Rare
We are lucky to have another inspiring photographic exhibition coming up in Sydney this month. Head over to The Calyx in the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney. 6-26 April 2021 to see the intricate works by Pamela Pauline.
That each work is made up of many individual photographs of endangered and threatened native species is outstanding and eye opening. Guided by horticulturists at conservation gardens throughout Australia, Pamela has been introduced to, and photographed, many threatened plants not known to the general public. The photographs of these plants form the backbone to these works. Wildlife carers also enabled up close access to some of Australia’s most endangered birds. “It is rare that we are given the opportunity to work with an artist and photographer who is as passionate as we are about threatened Australian flora and who is able to tell the story of these precious plants through her unique visual and photographic tapestries”. Daniella Pasqualini, Horticultural Development Supervisor, Australian Botanic Gardens Mount Annan.
It will be exciting to see Pamela’s artwork up close and in such a beautiful space.
