White paper

One of my ongoing projects is one affectionately called ‘white paper’. Len’s white paper.

It’s a treatise on the idea that white paper in a photograph and artwork is beautiful and should be celebrated rather than minimised. It goes against the traditional that says white, and black for that matter should be minimised in a photograph. This is of course a fallacy that is worth exploring and busting apart.

Usually the problem is that they are unintentionally blown out or lost. Rather than intentionally celebrated.

I need to work out the series as it’s a bit large and unwieldy atm as there isn’t other subjects defined in it yet. Birds as one obvious one but not really being a bird photographer there isn’t many.

Might have to be trees as this is my passion.

Would you be interested in watching a film about that process?
