Snowed in on holidays

My first real holiday in six months. I am with my son, Cyan at the snowy mountains. We arrived late Sunday night and after setting up camp it snowed for twenty four hours.

The roads were closed. NPWS asked us to stay here and not to attempt driving out. So we had a day of photography. Relaxing and reading.

The weight of the snow broke our car camping tent so we are now in our tiny snow camping tent. Warm and snug. Hopefully the weather continues to clear. It did rain overnight.

We are hoping to get out into the backcountry for some skiing. We will see what the weather throws at us. Today might be another good day out with the camera.

The photograph that comes to you today is from two weeks ago. The snow was melting quickly. Here the grass pushed through. God bless the grass, Pete would sing.

It will be a quiet week in the writing department. Enjoy the space. I know we will.
