Western Australian Orchid
Honestly I don’t know what flower this is, as I stare at my own photograph. I wonder if it matters. There was a stage where I wanted to identify every plant in my art.
The reality is it’s probably impossible. Well. Virtually impossible.
Identification of eucalyptuses requires the size of the tree, location, flowers, nuts and leaves. There are so many species and sub species that it is an expert job.
So I am left with flowers and trees.
The reveal themselves to me. I let them talk to me. I try to listen, yet I can’t hear, but I do feel. I feel love and hope, calm and peace, strength and wisdom.
I let my intuition create art with these feelings. It’s incredibly simple really.
