It has been a big year hasn’t it?

I have slowed down with the writing and posts. My apologies. I am pretty sure the year took its toll on me. I need some more time to recover and recenter myself. So for the time being I’ll continue with the seemingly random posts.

I need a rest from the grind. It feels like it was relentless all year. Probably not the bit about posting and writing here, but surviving such a turbulent time. I did. I did survive. But I feel exausted. My body isn’t keeping up let alone my mind.

This time of year is lovely when we can start slowing down for a rest. My big rest comes in January when Cyan and I go fully wilderness for weeks without internet or phone coverage. A real break in my constantly switched on life.

Much needed.

I have so many beautiful photographs to share. So I might skimp on the words a little. Please understand that it’s just a little hiatus for me to catch my breath properly again before diving in again.

These gorgeous arrangements of flowers were close to home. Harold Ried Reserve. One of my favourite walks atm because Momo and I can do it easily from home. The full round trip via the fish market is nearly eight kilometres. I will start doing it with a ten kilogram pack next and try to get it up to twenty before I leave for Tasmania. Plans hey. May not get there with that one but will try. Ten to twelve days with a full pack will be delightful. Oh and a little camera.

I have been using the new Voitlander 60mm f0.95 lens. This is a shot from it. It will become my flower portrait lens no doubt. A week in the Leura Garden Festival next year will really give it some mileage no doubt. Bookings have already started for that one. Only three spots left atm.
