Ferns in the snow

I am slowly getting through my to do list. Next years program continues to take shape.

Waiting to pick up my truck so Cyan and I can drive to the snow. Tomorrow we will ski or walk into the Ramsheads near Thredbo for a bit of a snow camping and skiing trip.

I love being away from the world in the snow. Camping in it is delightful and no where as difficult or as demanding as you would imagine. I have had plenty of practice mind you. I was a ski instructor for many years and my job was to teach people to ski then take them into the backcountry to camp for a few nights. Sometimes we did week long trips with them. My favourite ones always involved camping next to long steep mountains so we could ski the steep all day. Feathertop in Victoria is a long standing favourite. My all time favourite trip was there with Jenni and Allan.

I wonder if I can get my body back to the fitness levels and stamina required to ski all day without distorting my knees and back? It would take a dedicated season at the snow. Now, how do I make that happen?

Next week the master class is in Katoomba with me for The Leura Garden Festival. Flower season is such a joy. My new website that is a portfolio of my work is under progress. So will share that with you soon. It just needs another day or twos work. Have been doing it through Lightroom and the adobe portfolio site. Some bits are frustrating, but overall much easier than others I have tried.
