Luv the sheer veils of water & the echo of that vertical fall by the lacework of bare twigs to the right.
Nice detail in the mosses. . . -

In reply to: bencoope posted an update in the group Critiques I cant decide which is better, the tall one is obviously more worked but do the diamonds i have brought out add or detract (can you even tell)? Viewwow!
Now without looking at them large I originally preferred the 1st one but when I looked at the them at the max size available the 2nd one really popped out!!
why ? perhaps because the attention is more tightly focused on the textural detail in those foreground rocks in 2nd, rather than the sheer expanse of scene in the first. . ?? -

I love this pic Anne-Marie… I think the weird colours are just magical, as is the mist… and the impeding landing of the barge… I would darken the top just a hint to stop my eye wandering off the top of the page…
The forground, adds to the story and leads us into the picture… nice…

In the first diptych we thought the dark center a little distracting and wondered what they would be like if swapped over
so that the dark edges were on the outside of the frames / pictures to hold the eye into…[Read more]
